The members of our Association are from 18.05.-24.05.2023. stayed in France, where they visited Strasbourg and Paris. In cooperation with the ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Republic of France, Bojana Kondić Panić, apart from seeing the beautiful city of Paris, they also had very interesting professional visits to the cosmetics industry SICAF – Argenteuil, which is a manufacturer of well-known cosmetic brands such as L’Oréal , Biologique Recherche, Caudalie, etc., and visited their laboratories and production of the finest creams, powders, micellar waters and similar products. After visiting the industry, they also visited the École de Biologie Industrielle cosmetics faculty, where students are trained to be engineers who will work tomorrow in similar industries as Sicaf. Our members were also warmly welcomed there and taken through the chemical laboratories, where it was explained to them what types of analysis the students learn and what is primarily emphasized when it comes to “cosmetic chemistry”. Short lectures were also organized at both destinations, and it must be admitted that our members were pleasantly surprised by the full bags they received, not only of advertising material, but also of cosmetic products. Once again, we must praise our ambassador, who in this case was not only the organizer of these visits, but also translated from French the whole time, which was not an easy task at all. Thanks to her, it was also agreed to sign an agreement on the cooperation of the mentioned faculty with our universities, for the sake of easier exchange of students. Our visit was also joined by Senator Sébastien Meurant, president of the France-Western Balkans friendship group for BiH, as well as representatives of the French Chamber of Commerce of Val-d’Oise.
