18.11.2023. In the amphitheater of the Faculty of Technology in Banja Luka, the 13th regular UITRS Assembly was held, where the activities and finances for the past year were discussed, as well as the proposed planned activities for the next year.
Before the Assembly, expert lectures were held, where prof. Dr Saša Petković announced the establishment of the first science and technology park in the Republika Srpska in Banja Luka, and introduced us to its possibilities, which should contribute to accelerated technological development in accordance with good examples of international practice. Namely, in this way innovative, technologically developing companies would be attracted, which would commercialize the innovations created in the research and development process. As a result, they would have a larger number of “startup” and “spinoff” companies, but the service would also be provided to companies that develop their own technology. The founders of the Republika Srpska science and technology park will be the Government of the Republika Srpska and the University of Banja Luka, and the park facility, which will consist of a basement, ground floor and three floors with a total of about 7,500 square meters of useful space on five floors, will be built on the Banja Luka University Campus.
Suzana Mikić, B.Sc. presented the production process and assortment of the company “Mladegs pak – Bonito” and Irena Havreljuk, B.Sc., from the company “Colorit”.
After the lecture and the Assembly, a more relaxed part of the evening followed in the “Domaćinska kuća” with a festive dinner and live music until the wee hours.
